“So where have you been again?” “Where are you now?” “When are you coming home?”
We receive these questions all the time, so I thought it would be helpful to recap where we’ve been the last three months and what our future plans are for anyone following along. So far, we’ve visited the following:
- Bali, Indonesia
- Bangkok, Thailand
- Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Siem Reap, Cambodia
- Hong Kong
- Taipei, Taiwan
- Krabi, Thailand
- Australia
My plan is to go back and highlight some of our favorite memories and photos from each place, but my main focus moving forward will be writing about whatever country we are currently exploring. Right now, that happens to be the beautiful land of Australia where we’ve been since December 28th. Australia is one of those destinations that is on most people’s travel list, but not so many make it because it is such a long haul. Everything about this country has been SO worth it, but more on that later.

The only thing that could peel us away from Australia (other than running out of money and maybe immigration) would be knocking another destination off of our dream travel list. That destination happens to be New Zealand, and we leave on January 31st for a month of camping, exploring and my fave, landscape photography.
After New Zealand, we are meeting some dear friends in South Africa and plan on spending the month of March travelling various parts of Africa. After that — well that is what we are figuring out now. I have my numbers guy (Christopher) taking a look at the finance projections (yes, he has those) and the weather and together we’ll decide what is next. All I know is that we are loving our life on the road and as much as we miss our family and friends, we aren’t ready to come home just yet.
Love from Australia,
Cathleen and Christopher
I’m ready for you to come home. Miss you. Love you.(sobbing)
